What did I do before I discovered Bill Ayers? I thrive on disgust and hate and he makes my cup runneth over. I was just on American Thinker reading about his ties to Hugo Chavez. Despite some of his disputed associations, this one’s for real. It’s so real his stepson, Chesa (a girl’s name, but whatever, if it‘s pink and it fits) is an intern in the Chavez regime, as in his office is next door to Chavez’. And Ayers is a bigshot in the Miranda International Center which works tirelessly to bring Cuba-style education to Venezuelan school children. Bear with me, surprisingly this blog has nothing to do with Obama.
I must be stupid. I’m confused. I’ve heard audio of Ayers refer to himself as an anarchist. I’ve read quotes where he has no qualms about claiming communism (although he notes it’s communism with a small C). Okay. Webster defines anarchism as: 1. the theory that all forms of government interfere unjustly with individual liberty and should be replaced by the voluntary association of cooperative groups 2. Resistance, sometimes by terrorism, to organized government. Communisms goal of a classless society is achieved by complete government control. Strange bedfellows, indeed.
Ayers and the like want no government. They want rivers of LSD, and flowers for ammo (who needs ammo when you can build a nail bomb?) La di da di da. So they idolize dictators like Chavez and Castro who use violent intimidation to gain complete control over their citizens. I still don’t understand. How doesn’t that scare the hell out of an anarchist? One goal of communism is a classless society. (We’re gonna achieve equality by ruining EVERYONE’S lives) I suppose terrorizing and abusing whole populations until they are ALL in a state of third world style poverty is one way of achieving that.
Wow! I need an Excedrin because my head hurts from trying to wrap itself around the gaping hole in far-leftist rationale. Does this make sense to anyone? Please, please, please explain it to me. Explain to me how the goal of absolute freedom at any cost (anarchy) has become married to communism, which in every case winds up with government control of everything.
I’ll be waiting. In the meantime, I’m gonna keep going with this freedom thing. It’s still new (only a couple centuries old), but I’ve heard great things about it.
